My RPG Me is a character sheet and game tracker for tabletop roleplaying games. It's made by one person, Edward Schwartz. In short: what you enter stays on your device, and nobody else sees it.

What you enter stays on your device

Your characters, campaigns, notes, rulesets and settings are stored only on the device you use: in the Android app's storage, or in your web browser's storage on https://rpg-me.eslabs.me. The app has no accounts and no servers that receive your data. The developer can't see it, and nothing is sold or shared.

No tracking

The app has no ads, analytics, tracking or advertising cookies, and it asks for no special permissions.

Sharing and backups

When you share a character or save a backup, the app makes a file and hands it to the app or place you choose, such as your device's share menu. It goes only where you send it. If your device can't open a share menu, the file is saved to your downloads and you send it yourself.

Contact details

You can, if you like, save an email address and a phone number for your game master, the other players in a campaign, and the player of each character. These are details you type in yourself. They are stored on your device like everything else, are included in your own backups, and are never put in a shared character file or on a printout. The app never sends an email or a text itself, and it doesn't read your phone's contacts. Only save details for people who are happy for you to keep them.

The website

The web version is hosted on Google Cloud. Like any website, the hosting service keeps standard server logs of requests (for example, the IP address, browser type and the time of each request) for security and running the service. These logs are kept by Google under its own privacy policy and aren't used to identify or track you.

Tips

Tips are optional. They're paid through Google Play in the Android app, or PayPal on the web, under their own privacy policies; the developer receives no card details. The app remembers only how many times you've tipped, on your device, to say thank you.

Children

The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling the app, or clearing this site's data in your browser, deletes everything the app stored. Back up first (Settings → Backup) if you want to keep it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be in the app and at https://rpg-me.eslabs.me/privacy, with a new date above.
