  • Your data stays on your device
A wizard's character sheet on a computer: hit points, spell slots and armor class beside her list of spells. The roster on a phone: four characters in the campaign The Lantern Road, each with their hit points.

What it does

Everything a character needs at the table, and everything a Game Master needs between sessions.

Players

Play right from your sheet

Take damage, heal and add temporary hit points with a tap, and the bar shows how you're holding up. Short and long rests restore what the rules say they do.

  • Conditions, death saves, hit dice and Heroic Inspiration
  • A dice roller for attacks, checks and saving throws
  • Ability scores, skills and saves worked out for you
A fighter's hit points at 31 of 49, with Damage, Heal and Temp HP buttons, short and long rests, and conditions.
Players

Spells and spell slots

Add spells from the built-in rules, with their full text a tap away. Mark slots as you spend them and keep track of concentration. Your save DC and spell attack are worked out for you.

A wizard's spells: spell save DC 14, spell attack +6, and cantrips and first-level spells such as Fire Bolt, Magic Missile and Shield.
Players

Gear and coins

Add weapons, armor and gear from the rules or make your own. The app adds up what you carry, counts attuned items, and turns a weapon into an attack in one tap.

A fighter's inventory: coins, the weight carried, and a longsword, shield and chain mail marked as equipped.
Players

A journal for every character

Keep notes in your character's own words, dated and searchable. Share an entry with your campaign's session notes when the whole table should see it.

Game Masters

Run the whole campaign

Keep the party, sessions and notes together, with the people and places they've met, the quests they've taken on, and the party's shared treasury.

  • Session notes, with who was there
  • Who's who: people and places, and how they feel about the party
  • Quests, open and done
  • The party treasury, with a history of every coin

Preplanned encounters and combat

Build encounters from the creatures in the rules and see how tough they are for your party. Start one when the dice come out, and the combat tracker handles initiative, hit points and conditions.

Preplanned encounters: The Hollow Mill, 8 creatures, rated High, and Wolves on the road, rated Low, with the party's XP budget.

On every screen, in light or dark

Made for phones first, with room to spread out on a tablet or computer. It follows your device's light or dark setting.

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. There are no ads and nothing to buy. If it helps your game, you can leave a tip.

Which rules does it use?

It comes with the rules in the System Reference Document 5.2.1, which is free to use under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license, so it's compatible with fifth edition. You can add your own homebrew too.

Where are my characters kept?

Only on your device, in your browser's storage. There's no account and no server that receives them. Back up from Settings now and then, so a cleared browser or a lost phone doesn't take them with it.

Does it work on iPhone, iPad and Android?

Yes, in the browser. To keep it on your home screen, use Share → Add to Home Screen on iPhone and iPad, or Install app in Chrome on Android and computers.

Does it need the internet?

Only the first time. After that it opens and works offline.

Can my Game Master see my sheet?

Not automatically: everything stays on your own device. You can share a character as a file, to your Game Master or another player, or share a journal entry with the campaign's session notes. You can also keep their email and phone number handy; those stay on your device and are never put in a shared file.
